If I can figure out a functional design for it, I'd like to run ventilation ducts through the ceiling space to each skylight to turn them into a network of solar air heaters on cold days.  The idea would be to pull the black-backed shades and trap a pocket of warm air that I could draw into the bus through the ventilation ducts.  The shades would cut down on the heat loss through poorly insulated windows by adding a layer of insulation and also be put to work harvesting heat from the sun's rays.  That's the thought at least...
