The After School Special > Insulation > Close up of air space

A close up of the air space left between the foam and the Low E.  For Low E to perform its best, it ideally needs at least a 3/4" air space on both sides.  The wood blocks not only gave me a surface to staple it to but also gave me the spacing for the layer of air.  I'm going to sandwich the Low E with a additional layer of wood blocks screwed into the other blocks....that will give me the spacing for the other layer of air and also give me anchor points to attach interior wall framing and wall facades.
