Nate & Kate are central New York's folk superheros.  Based in Ithaca, they deliver a mix of heartfelt modern folk songs, humor, and juggling that add up to a completely unique and dynamic show fit for old, young, and all in between.

Nate & Kate met and began playing together in Binghamton, NY in 2005, and self-booked a 3-month tour of the Eastern-US that fall (’05). They have continued touring, promoting, and writing, and released their debut album, "Fame by Frame", late in 2007. The album has garnered strong reviews, regular Central-NY radio airplay, and was ranked amongst the “top 25 indie CD’s in the first half of 2008” by wildysworld.blogspot.com.  In 2009, the duo played over 150 shows and organized an “Eat Local Tour” of NY State farmers markets, garnering significant press along the way.

Early in 2010, Nate & Kate performed live on “Expressions” (WSKG Central-NY TV), started receiving airplay on NPR in Central-NY, and joined forces with author/columnist Amy Dickinson (“Ask Amy,” “Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me”) for a vaudeville-inspired evening of music, juggling, and readings from her best-selling memoir at Syracuse’s Palace Theater.  In 2011, Nate released his solo album "Stowaways Throwaways and Drifters" and toured throughout New England in support of the album.

Late 2011, Nate & Kate released "Nate and Kate The Kids Album", a cd of originals and classics showcasing the folk duo's repoire with the younger generation.  They are currently performing to audiences young and old in the Ithaca area as well as touring in the Northeast in support of the album.
