Anderson East is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from Alabama, now based in Nashville, Tennessee. He grew up playing piano at the age of 4 and guitar by the age of 10. He has since immersed himself in musical influences ranging from blues to gospel and R&B to pop.
A graduate of the audio engineering program at Middle Tennessee State University, Anderson has tirelessly honed his talents as a songwriter, producer and engineer in the Nashville scene.
Anderson's latest album, "Flowers of the Broken Hearted", is a double-disc release featuring an all-star cast of musicians and producers. Recorded primarily in the hills of Los Angeles, the album was produced by Chris Seefried and engineered by Grammy award winner Seth A. Horan. Guest musicians include Charles Gillingham & David Immergluck (Counting Crows), Rob Wasserman (Lou Reed, Van Morrison), Waddy Wachtel (Warren Zevon, Stevie Nicks), Don Heffington (Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris), Noel Scaggs (Fitz & the Tantrums) and Justine Bennett.
