Aaron Raitiere is a songwriter born and raised in the hills of Danville, Kentucky. Now based out of Nashville, Tennessee, he is building a reputation as one of the city's most talented up-and-coming song smiths through repeat features at the world-renown Bluebird Cafe songwriter nights and frequent live solo performances.
Raitiere has received a number of awards for his song writing prowess through the years, including an Honorable Mention in the 2005 International Songwriting Competition for Roots/Americana Music after his song, "Leavin You for Me", reached the final round in a competition against over 11,000 entries from more than 70 countries. He has also recently taken his talents into the world of children's music with the 2010 album "Songs for Cool Kids", a joint release by Old Boy and Raitiere's southern label, One Tooth Records. Raitiere's playful song writing style, matched with playful lyrics and energetic bluegrass-style guitar, has made it a hit with children and parents alike.
Raitiere is currently performing in and around Nashville as well as touring regularly throughout the East Coast.
